AIESEC Recruitment Session
Shahzeb Iftikhar Regional President AIESEC arranged the
session in collaboration with the Placements Office on 4th of
November 2020. The session started with a brief introduction about AIESEC recruitment
process. Shahzeb also explained about the exchange program that AIESEC offers

Session on Linkedin Optimization
Mr. Momin Khshnood- Manager Talent Acquisition at Abacus Consulting was invited by the Placement office on 5th Nov, 2020
to educate the students how important LinkedIn profiles are and how to nail
your LinkedIn profile. This session was conducted online on zoom and the link
was share amongst the students via email.The session was open for all bachelors
and MBA students. Momin explained the Do’s and Dont’s of a perfect profile by
showing examples of professional LinkedIn profiles. The students showed great
interest by asking questions and tips on how to improve their profiles in order
to have an impressive profile.

Mock Interviews Bachelors and MBA
A mock interview, also known
as a practice interview, is a simulation of an actual job
interview. Placements Office organized Mock Interviews
for the graduating MBA and Bachelors students 2020 so they can polish their
interview skills. These were conducted on 31st October, 3rd.
6th, 9th and 10th of November. The students
were supposed to answer difficult situational and behavioral questions. This
gave the students an opportunity to tackle difficult questions, develop
interview strategies, improve their communication skills and learn to reduce
stress before giving an actual interview.

Campus Ambassador Program 2020
The Placement
Campus Ambassador Program is conducted every year by the Placement
Office in order to give the students a chance to explore their potential by
working in close collaboration with the Placement Office team.
Following is the
process of the Placements Ambassador Program
· Information session and screening interviews
· Final interviews of shortlisted
candidates.
The
students are supposed to represent the office among the study body and create
awareness about the sessions and events conducted by the placements team.
Ambassadors are responsible for designing posters, newsletters, and reports.
Campus Ambassador Program Interviews:
After
circulating about the campus ambassador program, the shortlisted students were
contacted via email and phone calls for the interviews. The ambassador program
interviews were conducted on zoom on 4th, 5th and 9th
November 2020. A total of 120 students registered for the program and around 35
students were shortlisted for the interviews. These were conducted by the
Assistant Manager Placements, Fazeela Tariq. The students were asked about
their strengths and weaknesses and how they can be a good fit for this role.
They were also given situational and behavioral questions in order to get to
know them better. A final task of making a poster and preparing a write-up for
a particular session was assigned to the finalized 15 students

NovoNor Disk Virtual Drive 2020
NovoNor Disk conducted a virtual drive for the students
on Lahore School of Economics with the collaboration of placements office on
the 27th of November 2020, online on Microsoft Teams. A little brief background
on the program was discussed that the Novo Nordisk Graduate Programme is a
2-year learning journey that will take the graduate through a minimum of three
job rotations, with at least one based in our corporate headquarters in Denmark
and another in one of our global affiliates.
After successfully completing the programme, IO graduate will
have the necessary professional and personal skills to embark on the global
career with a position at Novo Nordisk – perhaps as a project manager, brand or
product manager or an internal consultant.
This session was mainly for the MBA graduating batch as this was their target audience. The students were also informed about the type of tests that they take so they can practice for the test before hand

Advance Excel Workshop
Advance Excel Workshop was arranged for the students of
bachelors and MBA on 28th of November 2020. The workshop was
conducted online on zoom and was advertised one month before the actual date.
This was a paid workshop and students of LSE and outsiders took part in it. The
various concept of excel were taught such as Shortcut keys, Sum , Vlookup,
Hlooksup, Pivot Table, Countif etc.

Mentorship 2020
Lahore School Placements Office conducted its 2nd
Mentorship Program on 27th November 2020. It was an initiative by
the Placement Office for the graduating Bachelors and MBA 2021 batch. The
session involved one on one discussion between students and mentors. Its purpose was to bring alumni working at senior
positions from different companies to guide the current students.
Mentorship event was conducted online on zoom where about
100 students got a chance to meet top employers, get to know about the company,
hiring and recruitment prospects, career progressions, market dynamics,
workplace skills and the opportunities the organizations currently have. The
students were guided to work on their weaknesses and highlight their strengths
by the alumni.

Online Career Counseling
Lahore School Placements Office conducted Career Counseling Day on 8th and 9th October, 2020. The basic aim of this event was to connect with the freshmen students and to understand their aspirations.
The session started off with Ms.RabiaSuhail, Manager Placements giving an overview of Placement office trainings and sessions and explaining the importance of internships and placements according to the industry and specialization they choose.
After the introductory session the students were divided into breakout rooms where each coordinator counseled the students individually.
The placement team helped the students in:
-Choosing the right academic degree (1st& 2nd
year)
- Inform about internship opportunities ( 3rd
year and MBA-I)
-Interest based industry selection (for 4th
year & MBA II)
The students were also guided through individual and group
counseling which was done by the Lahore School Placements allotted
coordinators.

Orientation 2020
The orientation for fresh batch of 2020-2024 was arranged
on the 30th of September 2020. The students were briefed about the
activities of the Placements Office and how the placements office assists the
students of Lahore School of Economics. The students were briefed regarding
career counseling, internship placements and importance of resume writing in
the session as well. The coordinators of different years also gave a brief
introduction of themselves. Around 70 students attended the session.

Resume Writing Session- 2020
Resume Writing Session was organized by the Lahore School
Placements Office for Bachelor and MBA students on 1st and 2nd
and 28th October 2020. This
session was arranged on zoom. The purpose of the session was to:

Online Meet and Greet
The
activity involved one on one discussion on zoom with the Assistant Managers
Zahra Haroon and Zarnab Zulfiqar. They reviewed each students resume in detail
and gave suggestions on how to improve it and make it a winning resume.
Students were also guided regarding the upcoming jobs in the market and the
condition of employment post covid. Student’s aspirations were also discussed
and were given individual feedback on how to further improve themselves for the
corporate world. This activity was conducted on 21st , 22nd,
23rd and 24th September.

Session on
Content Writing – Mariam Saeed Khan
An
online session on zoom was arranged for the students of Bachelors and MBA of
Content Writing on the 21st of September 2020. Mariam Saeed Khan ,
having great experience in content writing was invited as the speaker for the
session. Mariam gave students the tips and tricks of how to use content writing
as a freelance medium and earn money while sitting at home. The session was
quite engaging and all the questions of
the students were answered.
